‘A brand new start’.

‘A brand new start’. This could also be the title of this article. Not least because I want to share the new co-working space that has come into being on Avenida da Liberdade, my new office, where I will relaunch my brand early next year.

Inaugurated in 1906, I immediately fell in love with this well-preserved avenue building. It is no secret to my followers that I often ‘haul my dress tails through the city streets’. The metaphor is delicious and if it may seem to some like a surreal hallucination, the truth is that it has never been more urgent to preserve these snapshots of Lisbon from other times. Of course it’s a bold metaphor. Long skirt tails are impractical and everything that happens daily in my imagination, I can only make real in my daily life. Like reading on paper, writing with a nib and permanent ink and wearing three-quarter length gloves. And in fact it is in order to be an active contributor to maintaining the memories of our city, that every Autumn I buy one, two or three pairs of gloves at Luvaria Ulisses, doing my part for the identity of my living city. And now, this new coworking space in the Avenue is a very real testimony to what Lisbon should be. A city that has been thought out over many years, not to have to run the risk of being lost in a popular amusement park without charisma and identity. Just look at these images below.

Returning to Work AVENIDA and why I chose it. In an apartment with over two hundred square meters, a space was created that has as its main objective a business community in a place of excellence. Thus debuted this different coworking space. And because its goal is to attract a community of Lisbon lovers and defenders of the authenticity of Portuguese heritage, I realized that this was the ideal address. Work AVENIDA sets out to select its residents to ensure an entrepreneurial, creative and worldly atmosphere. With this philosophy and preservation of heritage, there is no doubt that this address and its location is the perfect place to relaunch my brand next year.

""""

With a strong sense of the private, the community will not be any larger than twenty-five resident entrepreneurs. In pemanent Cowork Fix format or just for one or a few days (Cowork Flex), there is also the option of some rooms where offices can be set up with one or more people, with the added value of being able to communicate with each other if desired. In addition to the work spaces, there is also a large room, the Business Lounge, which with wide windows opening to a balcony, is an ideal space for events. With the support of several Meeting Rooms well-equipped with a giant screen, easily transportable between rooms, there is also a pantry and kitchen to support larger events.

""

""

Work AVENIDA is therefore the ideal space I was seeking. For some meetings that I will hold for my relaunch, but also for the community and other brands, companies and chefs in town who want to use the space for their events. From presentations, showroom days, meetings or workshops, the versatility of Work Avenida promises to be one of the best positioned business spaces in Lisbon.

""

""

""

My mentors and the team I chose to work on the relaunch of my brand, tell me that I already deserved such an office. The truth is that my love for Lisbon and Portugal is a very serious mission and it is with great gratitude that today I open the doors to this new address. It’s all in line with the relaunch: aesthetics, minimalism, beauty, heritage preservation, the team that makes it happen, the location, the philosophy, the sense of detail, the youthful mind, the maturity of values and ideas. By the sense of the world, by the leafy tree tops that embrace the beautiful building in the streets of Avenida. But especially for the contagious energy of making it happen.

""

""

""""

""""

""""

And now on a confessional note, I don’t know if I chose Work AVENIDA, or Work AVENIDA chose me. But that doesn’t matter. We found ourselves in a city that is losing some rare postcards and memories of its identity. They can erase my memories with green rubber from Pelikan, but as far as the respect Lisbon deserves, for my part there will always be salvation. Open the shutters, which here promise to protect the best of my country, the best of my city, always with a sense of the world, but never, never, never losing its identity.
