Situado no cora\u00e7\u00e3o de Budapeste, e muito perto do Dan\u00fabio, a mestria arquitet\u00f3nica e riqueza cultural revelam-se pela arcada coberta do s\u00e9culo XIX, uma fus\u00e3o de grandeza g\u00f3tica e opul\u00eancia otomana, que deixa todos os visitantes admirados e de cabe\u00e7a elevada, para uma \u00e9poca que n\u00e3o \u00e9 a nossa.<\/p>\n

No detalhe, no ch\u00e3o pavimentos em mosaico, e na c\u00fapula, o caleidosc\u00f3pio de vidro colorido, ou as escadarias adornadas com azulejos verde-menta, s\u00e3o um testemunho do trabalho artesanal do venerado artista h\u00fangaro Miksa R\u00f3th e tudo isso era uma grande heran\u00e7a da hist\u00f3ria da cidade.<\/p>\n

Quando a Archikon foi encarregada de transformar um edif\u00edcio Belle Epoque em Budapeste num hotel de luxo, o hist\u00f3rico marco precisava de muito mais do que uma renova\u00e7\u00e3o superficial. D\u00e9cadas de neglig\u00eancia e renova\u00e7\u00f5es imperfeitas deixaram esta morada, originalmente uma galeria comercial com telhado de vidro, em estado muito prec\u00e1rio servindo apenas como cen\u00e1rio de filmagens.<\/p>\n

Adquirido pela Mellow Mood Hotels em 2014, o P\u00e1risi Udvar foi restaurado ao longo de quatro anos e meio com a ajuda de uma \u00a0vasta equipa, onde devemos elevar artes\u00e3os e engenheiros, al\u00e9m da Kroki Design. Hoje parte da cole\u00e7\u00e3o Unbound da Hyatt, abriu para deslumbrar quem v\u00eam \u00e0 procura da beleza da segunda cidade mais importante do Imp\u00e9rio Austro-H\u00fangaro.<\/p>\n

Constru\u00eddo em 1817 como uma galeria comercial neocl\u00e1ssica, foi reconstru\u00eddo entre 1909 e 1913 pelo Banco Brudern, resultando numa mistura de Art D\u00e9co, Neo-G\u00f3tico, Mourisco e Art Nouveau. Ap\u00f3s sobreviver \u00e0s duas Guerras Mundiais, o edif\u00edcio sofreu sob o regime sovi\u00e9tico. A renova\u00e7\u00e3o na d\u00e9cada de 1960 causou mais danos, exigindo a substitui\u00e7\u00e3o do a\u00e7o oxidado da arcada de vidro. Durante a renova\u00e7\u00e3o, foram encontradas surpresas como mais de cem cer\u00e2micas originais da Zsolnay. Dos duzentos e cinquenta mil ornamentos cer\u00e2micos, cerca de um quarto precisou ser refeito. A transforma\u00e7\u00e3o das c\u00fapulas de vidro, uma com vitrais de Miksa Roth e outra com azulejos Luxfer, \u00e9 particularmente not\u00e1vel, trazendo nova luz ao hotel.<\/p>\n

Por isso, a restaura\u00e7\u00e3o do edif\u00edcio do P\u00e1risi Udvar \u00e9 uma hist\u00f3ria de resili\u00eancia e renascimento. Escolhendo o Paris Udvar para ficar ou de passagem para jantar, o Sol quando se p\u00f5e sobre as majestosas c\u00fapulas e pin\u00e1culos do P\u00e1risi Udvar, lan\u00e7a um brilho dourado sobre a sua fachada intemporal, n\u00e3o podemos deixar de sentir a magnific\u00eancia. E por isso ser um marco na visita a Budapeste.<\/p>\n

Entering P\u00e1risi Udvar is a dazzling journey for anyone who loves hospitality and heritage. This is because the building was abandoned for a long time and to see it restored in this way is an ode to all the nostalgists of the world.<\/em><\/p>\n

Located in the heart of Budapest and very close to the Danube, the architectural mastery and cultural richness are revealed by the 19th century covered arcade, a fusion of Gothic grandeur and Ottoman opulence that leaves all visitors in awe and with their heads held high for an era that is not our own.<\/em><\/p>\n

In detail, on the mosaic floors and in the dome, the kaleidoscope of coloured glass, or the staircases adorned with mint-green tiles, are a testament to the craftsmanship of the revered Hungarian artist Miksa R\u00f3th and all this was a great legacy of the city’s history.<\/em><\/p>\n

When Archikon was commissioned to transform a Belle Epoque building in Budapest into a luxury hotel, the historic landmark needed much more than a superficial renovation. Decades of neglect and imperfect renovations had left this address, originally a glass-roofed shopping arcade, in a very precarious state serving only as a film set.<\/em><\/p>\n

Acquired by Mellow Mood Hotels in 2014, P\u00e1risi Udvar was restored over the course of four and a half years with the help of a vast team of craftsmen and engineers, as well as Kroki Design. Now part of Hyatt’s Unbound collection, it has opened to dazzle those who come looking for the beauty of the second most important city in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.<\/em><\/p>\n

Built in 1817 as a neoclassical shopping arcade, it was rebuilt between 1909 and 1913 by the Brudern Bank, resulting in a mixture of Art Deco, Neo-Gothic, Moorish and Art Nouveau. After surviving both World Wars, the building suffered under the Soviet regime. Renovation in the 1960s caused further damage, requiring the replacement of the glass arcade’s oxidised steel. During the renovation, surprises were found such as more than a hundred original Zsolnay ceramics. Of the two hundred and fifty thousand ceramic ornaments, around a quarter had to be remade. The transformation of the glass domes, one with stained glass by Miksa Roth and the other with Luxfer tiles, is particularly remarkable, bringing new light to the hotel.<\/em><\/p>\n

So the restoration of the P\u00e1risi Udvar building is a story of resilience and rebirth.
