Sei bem que guardei a partilha do Hotel da Oliveira em Guimar\u00e3es para o dia dez de Junho, mas foi propositado, j\u00e1 que o marco da na\u00e7\u00e3o assim o merecia.<\/p>\n

De visita a Guimaraes, pelo fulgurante Sezim Music Series<\/a>, a Casa da Oliveira Hool, respira num edif\u00edcio hist\u00f3rico com projecto do sempre iluminado e coerente designer de interiores Paulo Lobo<\/a>. E conhecendo a sua assinatura \u00e9 f\u00e1cil fazer a viagem ao seu estilo sempre pessoal e intrasmiss\u00edvel e sim, sou suspeita porque gosto muito do designer e da alma que desenha.<\/p>\n

Situada no cora\u00e7\u00e3o do centro hist\u00f3rico, a Casa da Oliveira Hool \u00e9 abra\u00e7ada por v\u00e1rios monumentos que contam a hist\u00f3ria da na\u00e7\u00e3o. Pulsando ao lado do imponente Castelo de Guimar\u00e3es, uma fortaleza medieval que testemunhou os prim\u00f3rdios do reino e a Torre de Menagem que vigilante e silenciosa, parece segredar a n\u00f3s viajantes, conquistas como viagens, numa mem\u00f3ria intacta e que tanto representa a beleza da cidade de Guimar\u00e3es.<\/p>\n

Da casa onde respira o hotel selamos o aroma das oliveiras, que d\u00e3o nome \u00e0 casa. \u00a0Uma dan\u00e7a harmoniosa de luz e sombras, onde o Sol brinca com os vitrais, projetando um caleidosc\u00f3pio de cores nas paredes ancestrais. O som suave de uma fonte ao fundo com o canto dos p\u00e1ssaros, rege com maestria este edif\u00edcio que nos convida \u00e0 contempla\u00e7\u00e3o e ao orgulho da nossa hist\u00f3ria. E por isso ter tamb\u00e9m adorado o s\u00edmbolo dos livros sem lombada espalhados pela casa. \u00c9 que todos temos uma hist\u00f3ria. Hist\u00f3rias v\u00e1rias que num Mundo, cada vez mais Universal, muitas vezes j\u00e1 n\u00e3o precisam de nomes.<\/p>\n

A experi\u00eancia da Casa da Oliveira \u00e9 a \u00fanica, mas acontece tamb\u00e9m na sua extens\u00e3o. A poucos passos, a Pra\u00e7a de Santiago revela-se como um cen\u00e1rio id\u00edlico, com as suas fachadas pitorescas e caf\u00e9s acolhedores. Cada esquina de Guimar\u00e3es oferece um selo cultural a colecionar das mais bonitas e bem preservadas cidades Portuguesas.<\/p>\n

Em Guimar\u00e3es, onde a hist\u00f3ria de Portugal come\u00e7ou, a Casa da Oliveira Hool \u00e9 um dos tesouros no cora\u00e7\u00e3o da cidade e da experi\u00eancia cultural riqu\u00edssima que a rodeia e porque o melhor deixo sempre para o fim, n\u00e3o se espante com a simpatia dos Vimaranenses. N\u00e3o apenas no hotel e na maneira como fui recebida, mas por toda a cidade, que parece ter uma das maiores qualidades de vida de Portugal.<\/p>\n

I know I saved the sharing of the Hotel da Oliveira in Guimar\u00e3es for the tenth of June, but it was on purpose, as the nation’s landmark deserved it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Visiting Guimaraes for the glittering Sezim Music Series<\/a>, the Casa da Oliveira Hool breathes life into a historic building designed by the always enlightened and coherent interior designer Paulo Lobo<\/a>. Knowing his signature, it’s easy to take a trip to his always personal and unmissable style, and yes, I’m suspicious because I really like the designer and the soul he draws.<\/em><\/p>\n

Located in the heart of the historic centre, Casa da Oliveira Hool is embraced by several monuments that tell the story of the nation. It stands next to the imposing Guimar\u00e3es Castle, a medieval fortress that witnessed the beginnings of the kingdom, and the Torre de Menagem, which vigilantly and silently seems to whisper to us travellers about conquests like journeys, in an intact memory that represents so much of the beauty of the city of Guimar\u00e3es.<\/em><\/p>\n

From the house where the hotel breathes, we smell the olive trees that give the house its name. A harmonious dance of light and shadows, where the sun plays with the stained glass windows, projecting a kaleidoscope of colours onto the ancient walls. The soft sound of a fountain in the background, along with birdsong, masterfully governs this building that invites us to contemplate and be proud of our history. And that’s why I also loved the symbol of the spine-less books scattered around the house. Because we all have a story. Various stories that, in an increasingly universal world, often no longer need names.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Casa da Oliveira experience is unique, but it also happens in its extension. A few steps away, Pra\u00e7a de Santiago reveals itself as an idyllic setting, with its picturesque fa\u00e7ades and cosy caf\u00e9s. Every corner of Guimar\u00e3es offers a cultural stamp to collect from the most beautiful and well-preserved Portuguese cities.<\/em><\/p>\n

In Guimar\u00e3es, where the history of Portugal began, the Casa da Oliveira Hool is one of the treasures at the heart of the city and the rich cultural experience that surrounds it and because I always leave the best for last, don’t be surprised by the friendliness of the Vimaranenses. Not just at the hotel and the way I was greeted, but throughout the city, which seems to have one of the highest qualities of life in Portugal.<\/em><\/p>\n

To go and return enchanted, doing justice to all the books of great stories, I leave you with the images and video at the beginning of this article to continue my words.<\/em><\/p>\n
